Position Overview: We are looking for a passionate and motivated immigration paralegal to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a bilingual (English/Spanish) paralegal eager to make a difference in the lives of immigrants. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of prior experience in family immigration law and a genuine interest and desire to work with the immigrant community. We will provide guidance and training to help you excel in your role and become an advocate for our clients.
Responsibilities:
Proactively handle cases by gathering and analyzing information and relevant documents from clients, communicating with clients as necessary, preparing correspondence, applications and forms to be filed with government agencies, conducting any relevant research and assembling/finalizing case files to be reviewed by the attorney
Qualifications:
· Must be fully bilingual English and Spanish
· Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
· 2+ year’s experience as an immigration legal assistant or paralegal preferred
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Google Workspace
· Strong writing, researching and editing skills
· Ability to work independently and effectively with diverse individuals and the immigrant community
Salary and Benefits:
· $55,500+/yr depending on experience
