As a member of Cognizant's Digital Technology Consulting Practice (DTC), the Senior Architect acts as the lead, working with our enterprise clients to design solutions that allow them to stay up to date, agile and stable within the rapidly changing state of their industries. The demand for our consulting services has increased our need for talent in North America within this small, growing team of technology and business experts.
You will use your critical thinking and analytic skills to provide our customers with out-of-the-box solutions. You will run sessions with senior and middle management, including chief architects and executives. Hence, strong written, verbal, presentation and persuasion skills are key in this role.
The location is flexible in the US, however, you may travel extensively to the client site (Monday thru Thursday), especially in the early phases of the project.
Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA with several years of work experience a bonus
8-15 years of experience in Information Technology, with 3-5 years in a consulting or advisory role
Demonstrated command of architecture domains and methodology (e.g, TOGAF)
Ability to address most of the architectural domains of business, application, data and technology, and to analyze, define and illustrate solution alignment across these domains
Capability and experience working within the dynamics of a large IT services firms
Application Architecture concepts and standard methodologies (Tiers, Partitioning, Modularity)
Architecture NFRs, Availability (HA/DR), Performance (Capacity, Resource Utilization, Responsiveness), Information Security (Authentication, Authorization, Encryption)
State of the art Integration Patterns, including SOA, API, Micro-Services, including integration with COTS (e.g., SAP), Mobile and Social Media Solutions, etc.
Cloud native solutions, DevOps, Containers, Continuous Integration and Development (CI/CD)
