The M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing at Villanova University seeks nominations and applications for a full-time 12 month faculty position with preparation in statistics or related field. The successful candidate will assist and advise faculty on the design of research and scholarly projects using valid and reliable techniques; assist in analysis and interpretation of statistical data, and participate in the preparation of grant applications and publications. This person will teach selected graduate courses in area of expertise. Engage in scholarly work in area of specialty and actively participate as a member of the expanding Research Enterprise in the College. Maintain active involvement in the College, University and professional community.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assist and advise faculty on the design of research and scholarly projects using valid and reliable techniques.
Assist in analysis and interpretation of statistical data.
Participate in the preparation of grant applications and publications.
Teach selected graduate courses in area of expertise.
Engage in scholarly work in area of specialty, and maintain active involvement in the College, University and professional community.
PhD in statistics or related field.
Familiarity and prior experience working with nursing and/or health related research required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Philosophy commensurate with Villanova University’s mission and values required.
Evidence of scholarly work in area of expertise.
Expertise in quantitative statistics and bio-statistics highly desired.
Experience in analysis of large data sets and experience working in interdisciplinary teams highly desired.
Evidence of working knowledge of current and emerging statistical methods.
Knowledge of psychometrics preferred.
Experience with federal grant funding, such as NIH, NSF, etc. desired.
Previous experience in a college or university academic program.
