Under limited supervision from the Director of Recruitment and Admissions makes sound decisions about all aspects of Central Carolina Scholars. Serves as the Coordinator for assigned counties. Promotes Scholars to prospective students, parents and secondary guidance counselors. Uses a strategic approach to manage secondary student engagement in collaboration with college recruiters, dual enrollment coordinators, and outreach staff to promote Central Carolina Scholars; collaborates with secondary school counselors; conducts outreach activities in local high schools and at community events to increase awareness of Central Carolina Scholars; conducts retention activities and specialized workshops; assists with administering placement testing to prospective high school students; and assists college recruiters when needed. Must possess a high level of written and oral communication and organizational skills; manage multiple tasks; and work well with people. Some evening and weekend hours are required.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Must possess a Master's degree; or Bachelor's degree with two (2) years' experience in student services programs.
PREFERRED: Experience working in college transition programs.
