Established in 1987, we are the largest national veterinary cardiology practice looking for a Sr. Marketing Associate to join our Marketing Department in Leesburg, VA. Our team members say, “it’s the best place they’ve ever worked” and we intend to keep it that way!

Our board-certified veterinary specialty practice has 14 locations in Kentucky, Maryland, Texas and Virginia and growing. Marketing is an integral part of maintaining our excellent reputation in the community and with strong relationships with our primary care veterinary colleagues. The Sr. Marketing Associate works closely with the Marketing Director on multiple projects that include and is not limited to digital marketing strategies and implementation; management of social media content, scheduling, posting and management of multiple platforms; local and regional event planning, implementation and staffing; working with local veterinary organizations on collaboration efforts for doctors, residents and technicians; website edits, forms, and more. The Sr. Marketing Associate will report directly to the Marketing Director and will provide a wide range of marketing support to help enhance and grow our brand.

Desired Skills and Experience (including, but not limited to)

Education - Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in marketing, communications, or business

Experience - 3 - 4+ years of Marketing Industry Experience.

Key Marketing Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)

Website
*
Programming and Maintenance - assist the Marketing Director in collaborating with the website company to develop, edit and implement website materials on-page (i.e.forms) and off-page tactics ( i.e hidden forms), content development, optimization of site navigation, internal linking structure, URL structure, title tags, and meta descriptions and more.

Digital Marketing (Hubspot)
*
Utilizing Hubspot to its full capacity to begin converting contacts into loyal clients and referrers. Expand our lead generation efforts. Create, implement and manage workflows. Maintain, develop and manage contacts and list, including but not limited to import, export, and more.
*
Blog Posts- collaborate with website company on monthly blog post topics including scheduling, posting, and more.
*
Email Marketing - design and develop email strategies and campaigns for prospects.
*
Social Media-(a large part of this position) - Assist Marketing Director to strategize, research, develop, and execute consistent social media strategies and campaigns/polls/contests/social media research to expand our reach while staying true to our company brand. Ability to work with all locations to gather and track the photos and information to post and then convert that information into meaningful and timely posts. And, the ability to manage multiple Facebook pages, Instagram, YouTube, Linkedin, and our Blog.

Google My Business (GMB) - Assist Marketing Director with utilizing GMB full capabilities, including but not limited to photo uploads, develop a schedule for weekly or bi-weekly content posts and more.

Reputation Management
*
Help manage online reviews via Yelp, Facebook, etc. Utilizing our current reputation software, Reputology, reply to questions, negative reviews, etc. in a timely manner. And, work with and information our locations of positive/negative reviews impacting their locations.

Events
*
Event Planning, Coordination and Implementation -(10 - 20+ small and large scale events per year on some evenings, weekends and overnight travel may be required). Collaborate with key contacts, organize the event from everything to ordering electric, carpet, chairs, lead retrievers, etc. In addition, work on request for proposals and contracts, staffing the event, setup and tear down, packing and shipping materials, working the entirety of the event and packing up and shipping or loading the event materials. And, coordinate with staff on Lunch and Learns, Dinner and Learns and more.

Continuing Education Programs - (a large part of this position) - Outreach to local Veterinary Medical Associations (VMAs) to collaborate with them on potential opportunities for our doctors, residents and technicians at local, regional and national events. Organize with internal and external personnel. Handle all logistics, including but not limited to, contracts and paperwork, adhering to RACE Standards and submitting the correct paperwork in a timely manner, etc. And, work on promoting the events to help reach out targeted audiences to help increase awareness and attendance.

Additional responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Writing- Ability to develop or take raw materials and develop them into marketing pieces for different audiences. This includes, but is not limited to, ads, blogs, social media content, website content, articles, newsletters, booklets, etc.
*
Reports and Spreadsheets- Ability to work with data to create quarterly reports and spreadsheets.
*
Assist with Advertising Efforts and Campaigns - Social media and traditional.
*
Public Relations and Media Activities - Assist Marketing Director with public relations activities, including responding to written press inquiries and developing and editing press releases.
*
Graphic Design- Ability to create a concept or design from scratch and then collaborate with the graphic designer to take that information and turn that idea into a client handout, sell sheet, collateral, booklet, exhibit materials, ad, etc. In addition, knowing some basic graphic design skills can help with developing email blasts, fax blasts, etc.
*
In hospital Collaboration - Create and maintain relationships with other departments within our practices to work together throughout the year on internal and external marketing efforts.

Demands of Position

Willingness to travel to 14+ locations and local businesses as needed.
*
Must be a self-starter with self-direction, motivation and goal-oriented who can work independently with little supervision, yet work professionally with a wide range of personalities.

Manage multiple event calendars, project timelines, and event budgets.
*
Work with CVCA local marketing assistants in gathering material for social media posts and local events.
*
Maintain and develop relationships with outside vendors and associated services.
*
Able to prioritize and organize for successful multi-project management while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining consistency while paying attention to details with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced environment.

Strong collaborator, problem-solving skills in handling unexpected problems.
*
Must be proactive in coordinating with internal and external resources to see assigned tasks/projects through to completion.
*
Help with marketing administrative tasks: assist with database management, ordering supplies, moving boxes, packing up and unpacking for events and meetings, willingness to help put shipments away, and more.
*
Consistently carry the company brand and messaging throughout the company's internal and external marketing materials.
*
Proactively coordinate with internal resources to see assigned task/projects through to completion.
*
Reliable car to travel between locations.
*
Ability to lift 25 - 50+ lb boxes. Stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch and more.
*
Ability to help do large mailing prep - fold, stuff boxes and envelopes and ship items.
*
Knowledge of the veterinary field is preferred, but not required.
