MVM, Inc. is seeking a bright and talented Clerk II to provide a wide range of administrative and support-related tasks and should be able to work independently with little or no supervision. The ideal candidate must be extremely well-organized and detail oriented, and has a positive disposition and "can-do" approach.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Review incoming material and create new records by entering data into department database
Obtain needed information from files or other sources to enter a complete case record on the database and submit the case file to the appropriate staff
Generate form letters advising of actions taken or developments in cases and notices to attorneys representing defendants
Consider the nature and status of case information in preparation of documents
Perform docketing duties such as opening, updating and closing cases through use of the database
Furnish requested information concerning pending and closed matters and cases with respect to case file reconciliations including comparing payment histories from multiple sources and modifying database records to reflect payment information
Print pre-determined management reports to verify information and answer inquiries regarding case-related statues as maintained in the database
Produce various written documents and materials while utilizing a wide range of office software applications (example: using tables, graphs and charts to integrate output information)
Utilize government database systems and word processing software
Perform other related and/or administrative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Demonstrated experience of performing data entry

Preferred Qualifications:
Local to Washington, DC
Undergraduate degree
Good organizational skills
Typing speed of 40 WPM
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Experience handling sensitive information with little to no errors
Experience in banking, data entry or record keeping
Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including personal computers, photocopiers, telephone systems, and fax machines
