Job Summary:
The Senior Sourcing Manager is responsible for establishing, developing and directing the production strategy for a product category and effectively directing the business relationships with finished product suppliers and our agents to leverage lower costs and reduced lead time without sacrificing quality.

Essential Function and Responsibilities:
Recruit, hire, train and develop a team to manage the business to improve gross margin, on-time delivery and provide exceptional customer service
Focus on speed to market, cost reduction, improvement in the cost of quality, and cycle-time reduction
Provide thought leadership and innovative strategies for optimizing sourcing effectiveness.
Responsible for facilitating sourcing with a strong understanding of global sourcing processes and methods
Responsible for providing key support to the department leadership in strategic sourcing
Responsible for developing, implementing and leading the supplier strategy for sourcing products and services in the US, China, Mexico, Vietnam and India. This includes supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance
Leading strategy and development for new and improved products, from concept to commercialization
Well organized with clear systems and processes to implement within the department managing technical direction of projects- identifying key deliverables and next steps and communicating to team
Negotiates with vendors to reduce cost of new and existing items
Collaborates with inventory management, vendors and marketing teams to manage site merchandising (promotions, special collections, department landing pages, etc.)
Partnering with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material and services meet the needs of the business
Understanding of current market conditions demonstrated ability to drive savings using different category strategies
Coordinate and work with both corporate and regional stakeholders to standardize corporate-wide product specifications and establish and implement long-term strategic goals to continually enhance Edible’s market position
Partner with corporate resources to achieve global production efficiencies across divisions and group
Ensure adherence to seasonal calendar via time and action management, close monitoring of key milestone dates
Ensure agents & vendors update and maintain costing sheets as product changes occur and offer viable cost options to meet and or exceed target costs.
Attend Concept, Prototype Review and Adoption meetings to understand upcoming initiatives so he/she can work with the appropriate vendors to create the product
Attend tradeshows to learn new technologies and processes in the United States and overseas. Maintain up-to-date on all industry trends and foresee new product opportunities
Leverage trade tools to stay updated with trends. Identify new factories or expand facilities of existing factory base in the growing countries
Elevate and communicate high-risk potential order problems and issues, as appropriate
Promote collaboration, communication, and teamwork within the brand between Merchandising, Product Development, Innovation and Design
Create BOM’s and Product Specs

Job Requirements:
College degree preferred, with an emphasis on Supply Chain or Business Administration
5-7 years in sourcing with experience in Quick Service Restaurant or Retail highly preferable
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact in a cross-functional environment with all levels of executive management. Problem solving and negotiation skills required
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Experience drafting contract agreements
Ability to analyze complex challenges and make recommendations for action.
Proficient in Excel
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills
Strong analytical skills
