We are an Evangelical Christian organization with a large and growing Outreach to At-Risk Kids in central Colorado Springs. We operate 2 Children’s Centers, with about 50 staff serving 300 children ages 6 weeks - 13 years.
This is a staff position in a Christian ministry. We are primarily looking for individuals with an active faith in Christ and a life pattern of involvement in their local church and ministry. (For more information and our statement of faith, you can find us on the web at Springsoflife.org).
Springs of Life is following a unique ministry model that needs the help of gifted administrators. Our Admin team is comprised of 5 departments (Site Admin, Finance, Enrollment, HR, and Youth/Children’s Program Administration), with approximately 10 staff. Admin staff need to have an established heart for ministry and strong administrative skills, as all our administrative roles include some amount of direct youth/children’s outreach (approximately 1/4 to 1/3 of the day, depending on position). This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to serve the Lord in direct ministry, with a heart for youth, but with primarily administrative gifts.
The ideal candidate should have strong Excel, Word, Google Docs and email/internet skills. They must also be able move at a fast pace with data entry, computers and administrative tasks. More than anything, they must love the Lord Jesus with all their heart and desire to serve Him in direct ministry. Applicants must have a heart for seeing kids (and their families) come to know the Lord, as this is our highest priority in all we do.
This position will report primarily to our Administrative Director, but also to our School Age Program (SAP) Director. They will have Administrative Tasks and SAP Tasks.
Administrative Tasks (including but not limited to):
Front Desk reception
Reports utilizing Excel and Google Docs
Daily school and site administration reporting
Greeting parents, answering questions, tours and sign-ups as needed
Taking payments, basic financial record keeping
Potential for advancement into Finance, Enrollment or HR departments
Have a role driving and/or assisting in leading a group of school age children for part of the afternoon
Building relationships with kids, parents and staff members
Being involoved in, and inviting children/youth to attend, ministry outreaches (AWANA, VBS, Ranch Camps, etc)
$13 - $18/hr, DOE
