Full Job Description
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience in computer science, data structures, algorithms and software design.
C/C++ API design experience.
AAA game development experience or game platform engineering experience.
Lower level system architecture experience (heap management, FUSE drivers, IPC techniques, shared memory, etc.).
Experience productizing and landing a backend, while managing user data (wipeout, takeout).
About the job
As Player Progression Lead, you will have a focus on APIs and corresponding backends that support game-generated user data representing progress in the game. Additionally, you'll have responsibility for general Game API work, including incoming API design reviews and building specific features.

Build and maintain save backend and FUSE save driver on Stadia VM Instances.
Own, design, and implement partner developer tools and APIs, supporting player progression development and triage by partners.
Design and implement in-game C/C++ APIs, for saved games and other player progression features.
Push forward future player progression work including new partner support tools, public saved games (shared progress), and term cross-platform save support, and participate in on-duty rotation for validating public releases and support.
Handle public API design reviews for new features from other teams and support ongoing maintenance of Game APIs, including both specific fixes and general framework improvements.
