The Charge Nurse supports, maintains and adheres to the standards of nursing care and practice for the Family Medicine department. This experienced RN assumes Charge Nurse responsibility to manage daily operations in the department to include

  • Acting as a resource to staff nurses and medical assistants.
  • Supervising and assisting in evaluating the clinic nurses and unlicensed personnel by monitoring performance and accountability.
  • Delegating duties to nurses and unlicensed personnel.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of programs for staff professional growth as well as the development of programs for patient health promotion and self-care.

Our Nurses are responsible for the management, provision, and evaluation of nursing care. POSITION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CHARGE NURSE:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • A minimum of one to two years clinical nursing experience is required.
  • Experience with an electronic medical record system is also desired.
