HR Operations Support Specialist (RSS000099)

POSITION SUMMARY & MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Provides Civil Engineer leadership with administrative support and top-level insight into day-to-day operations, to include administrative functions supporting the execution of the Civil Engineer program. . Will be the point of contact for all HR Operations related topics and act as a liaison to HQ HR Department (e.g., Benefits, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Compensation, Talent Acquisition and Training and Development)
Collect and analyze statistical data identifying trends, and provide reports
Assist with in-processing of Vectrus new hires on the RSS II program
Complete and submit Personnel Transaction Forms (PTFs) for approval and processing
Assist with personnel file for safety equipment and travel reimbursements
Maintain Driver Qualification files of the Vectrus employee population regulated under the Department of Transportation (DOT)
Schedule physicals and occupational medical checks (e.g., CDL physicals and Respirator test)
Assist in the tracking and resolution of pay discrepancies and timesheet corrections. Interface with prime contractor and Vectrus Payroll.
Update Vectrus organization charts and rosters
Track contractual and compliance training requirements
Assist with Employee Relations Issues and Investigations
Assist company Labor Relations department with coordination of administrative tasks associated with grievances
Perform other duties as required
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Desktop/Laptop Computer, Printer/Copier/Fax, Cell Phone, Non-Tactical Commercial Vehicle
Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Power Point, Excel, and Project.
Working environment will be 80% general office environment and 20% field. Individual should be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted. Work environment could be very hot due to conditions within the Las Vegas and Nevada region. Personnel may be required to stand for long periods. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada driver’s license.
While performing duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Education/Certifications: One year of related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
College Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in a general education field is preferred. Must complete a security review document to determine ability to receive and maintain a security clearance.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in fields involving customer service, working with people in a professional business environment.
Minimum two (2) years experience with document preparation; intra-office coordination; and administration.
Experience in Human Resources and/or Labor Relations preferred.
Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, especially PowerPoint, and/or other related applications to include Word and Excel.
SUPERVISON: General guidance & direction.
