Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to join our team (https://med.uth.edu/ibp/2023/09/11/junchen-liu-phd/). The ideal candidate will assist in conducting research activities, performing experiments, and analyzing data in a laboratory setting.
Duties:
- Conduct experiments under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
- Perform mammalian cell culture, tissue culture, and transfection techniques
- Conduct protein purification and PCR analysis
- Prepare samples for electron microscopy
- Execute routine techniques related to cell biology research
- Maintain accurate records of experimental data
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline
- Experience with mammalian cell culture, tissue culture, PCR, and transfection techniques
- Knowledge of protein purification methods and cell biology principles
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with research protocols and procedures.
