Andujar Construction, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to join our project delivery team in our Charlotte, NC office. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations. You will work on Southeast regional ground-up commercial/industrial job-sites greater than $1 million. Categories include retail, healthcare, mixed-use, office buildings, & industrial. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a construction project.

Job Type: Full Time with Benefits

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Project management, budgeting, scheduling, Team leader, cost control, Preconstruction.
  • Lead team of superintendents from project buyout through project CO.
  • Collaborates with Preconstruction to prepare, review, and monitor information and reports related to all costs involved in developing the project’s budget.
  • Manages the subcontracting process, which includes holding initial scope review meetings, finalizing agreed price, developing subcontract scope of work, managing the subcontract, final execution process and the implementation of Safe Zone in Preconstruction.
  • Collaborates with scheduling, superintendent, subcontractors, and suppliers to create a construction schedule.
  • Responsible for project administration and daily operations. Prepares and maintains the project schedule, milestone dates, and close-out checklist.
  • Builds effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations.
  • Have a working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, Owner Contract, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, submittals, and all other project related documents, and maintain a complete and accurate set of as-built documents.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Construction Experience for a Mid-to-Large sized company is required
  • Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field or equal experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the commercial construction field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Windows. Must be computer-literate.
  • Previous project management software use preferred. Experience with CMiC a bonus.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to details
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
