Clearly Innovative Education is the tech education arm of Clearly Innovative, Inc, a mobile and web development firm in Washington, DC. Clearly Innovative Education seeks to encourage tech inclusivity through programming that engages and teaches an array of technical and entrepreneurial skills to underserved and underrepresented communities.

Clearly Innovative Education is currently seeking instructors to teach our youth coding and entrepreneurship curriculum to students in our summer 2018 camp programs. Instructors must have daytime availability from late June to early August. There may also be some Saturday teaching opportunities available during the summer months. A background in technology is preferred, but not required. Our staff will train this individual on our existing curriculum and he/she will be responsible for executing lesson plans and reporting progress to the Education Coordinator on a regular basis.

This opportunity is ideal for those interested in STEM, specifically technology and entrepreneurship. Compensation range for this position is $17-30/hour, based on experience.


  • Teach our proprietary lesson plans to students in a classroom-like setting
  • Assist students in creating projects that reflect the course curriculum and objectives
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of the course concepts being taught as well as any techniques and software involved (typically, FluidUI)
  • Engage students in discussion and research relevant to the project at hand
  • Teach students how to use Prezi or Google Slides to present their work
  • Monitor students’ progression through curriculum and adjust learning activities to meet program needs
  • Manage student expectations and address student motivation and performance issues as necessary
  • Serve as “sounding board” for student brainstorming and ideas


  • BA degree in Computer Science, Education or another relevant field. Candidate may also be a Junior or Senior currently attending an accredited college or university
  • Prior experience working with elementary, middle or high school students preferred
  • Must have daytime availability from late June - early August
  • Affinity for working with youth
  • Genuine interest in one of the following STEM, Coding, UX/UI, and/or Lean Startup
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented
  • Bonus: Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Salary: $17.00 to $30.00 /hour
