Do you have business development experience and strong communication skills? Are you a problem solver with good attention to detail? Are you good at building strong relationships?
As a Business Development Associate, you will work with our team to identify and help to develop strategic relationships with partners and sign on enterprise-level customers. You’ll spend most of your time communicating with these partners and customers, preparing pricing proposals and negotiating contracts with them.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading the entire sales cycle, from educating prospects through qualifying and
- Working with legal counsel and the business development team to draft,
evaluate, and negotiate contracts related to enterprise sales and other
- Working with business development team on marketing, sales, and business
- Ensuring contracts include competitive terms and monitor customer happiness
- Following and developing monitoring procedures for contracts and key provisions
- Evaluating and renegotiating existing relationships as appropriate
- Representing MaxMind at industry conferences
As a member of MaxMind’s Business Development team, you're driven by real passion for using state of the art technology to solve customers’ problems.
At least two years business related work experience
Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts
Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills and the ability to represent the company professionally to senior business and development executives
Capable to work effectively with and manage the needs of multiple stakeholder groups (product development, engineering, etc.)
Ability to complete complex business development projects such as identifying contract terms resulting in unnecessary friction and performing contract life-cycle analyses
You will be required to travel to conferences 1-2 weeks per year
Work well independently, with minimal supervision
Experience in enterprise level sales, including communicating with multiple decision makers and influencers
Business or legal training/education
Experience with software or technology contract negotiation
