Innovative Machining is a leading manufacturing company dedicated to providing top-notch products and services to our customers. We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for managing and executing the shipping and receiving operations. This role ensures that all incoming and outgoing shipments are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Unload, unpack, and verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and shippers’ documents.
- Process the proper documents through the use of the Innovative Machining computer system.
- Organize and store received items in designated areas.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards and customer specifications.
- Prep parts for shipping
- Generate shipping labels and documentation.
- Safely deliver the product to its proper destination. When required, safely unload product from vendor vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Make custom pallets or crates using a saw
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any shipping or receiving issues.
Qualifications/Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of previous experience in shipping and receiving or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, attitude, and teamwork skills.
- Forklift certification in-house.
Hours:
- 1st Shift: (4/10’s), Monday-Thursday, 5 am to 3 pm
- Rotation on Fridays based on coverage needs.
