The Skin Surgery Center is an established Ambulatory Surgery Center known for exceptional patient care and outstanding outcomes. Skin Surgery Center specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. We are AAAHC and Medicare certified. Our practice has two physicians and three physicians assistance, two registered nurses and a dynamic team of 9 Certified Medical Assistants between our Bellevue and Seattle offices. We strive to provide the highest quality of professional care in an enthusiastic environment. Our current position is for a full time Certified Medical Assistant in our Bellevue location with some coverage needs in the Seattle office. The position involves working in both our clinic office as well as our surgical center. In the clinic office the MA works one on one with our PA providers assisting with skin exams and biopsies. In the surgical center MA staff are trained to assist with clean and sterile surgical procedures. Our MA staff are notresponsible for insurance verification, authorizations, or referrals. This is a fantastic opportunity for growth and experience as a Certified Medical Assistant. This position focuses on back office procedure based hands on work.
Responsibilities and Duties
Duties include but are not limited to: data collection and entry, vital signs, medication entry, injections, sterile field preparation, first assist with surgical procedures and biopsies, suture removal, staple removal, and bandage changes. Duties also include light phone triage, preparation of letters to referring providers and primary care providers, and management of pathology. MA staff report to the RN Clinical Director and the PA providers.

Qualifications and Skills
Qualified candidates will have: * An active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) license through the WA Department of Health * Updated CPR Card * One-to-two years’ experience with in office procedures preferred (i.e. biopsies, excisions, suture removal, etc.) * Proficient organizational skills * Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a fast paced environment * Experience with NexTech or other EMR system * Clear WSP background check.
The position is primarily in our Bellevue office location, however, candidates must be willing to float to the Seattle office on an as needed basis.
