Position: Community & Liaison
Position Type: Full Time, 40 Hours per week
Daily Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
Under the direction of the Information Technology group, the Physician Services Liaison will oversee the process by which affiliated physicians and staff are linked to St. Luke's Healthcare. The incumbent will support the mission of the team through the correct configuration of physician practices as they are provided with electronic health record (EHR) based connectivity tools but will also provide ongoing training, optimization and troubleshooting.
-Partner with the Information Technology group in the collection and curation of demographic data regarding affiliated practices that will ensure the correct configuration of electronic portals. Act as trainer and primary support to affiliated practices as they utilize St. Luke's Healthcare connectivity tools. Delivers and facilitates the educational process by using change management skills to engage learners and ensure that they have the information needed to be successful with the new applications. Provides both scheduled and unscheduled learning activities for clinical end-users.
-Documents common issues and end user suggestions and requests enhancements as appropriate through the Atrium Informatics Team as appropriate. Act as advocate with the St. Luke's Healthcare and Atrium application teams to ensure that EpicLink build stays current and takes advantage of all new features.
-Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner. Helps to identify problems, offer solutions and participate in their resolution. Document expected workflows for referral and order management to support seamless experiences for patients across the continuum of care. Conduct routine referral meetings with appropriate parties to understand all issues.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
-Bachelors Degree preferred.
-Familiarity with healthcare in the ambulatory environment
-Prior experience with EPIC preferred, specifically use of -Hyperspace Ambulatory or EpicLink
-Excellent attention to detail and follow through on project tasks
-Excellent written and communication skills
-Ability to travel between affiliated practice sites
-Must be able to set and organize own work priorities, and adapt to them as they change frequently. Must be able to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in an environment that may be stressful with individuals having diverse personalities and work styles.
-Must be able to travel locally to the various physician practices and facilities. (75% of time).
