The Alida is seeking experienced Bartenders to serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of wine, spirits and mixed drinks as well as appropriately presenting information regarding preparation methods.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established The Alida Standards.
Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest’s original order.
Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers and other spirits.
Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Previous bartending experience strongly preferred, ideally in an upscale hotel environment
Strong command of the English language
Requires attention to detail and problem solving skills, as well as a passion for customer service.
Successful candidates must possess legal work authorization in the United States
Must be able to cope with stress and work in a high volume operation.
Must be able to prioritize and multi-task.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends & holidays.
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
