Tubular Steel (a member of the Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. family of companies) is a leading national distributor of carbon, alloy, and stainless steel pipe, tubing, and bar products headquartered in Creve Coeur, MO.

For over sixty plus years, Tubular Steel has created and implemented proven methods of helping its customers reduce their manufacturing and fabrication costs through innovative solutions and with its extensive inventories.

We are currently recruiting for a Plant Manager to manage and oversee overall plant operations including production scheduling, finance, materials, and quality assurance at our plant in New Haven, MO.

Job Duties:
Direct and manage plant/warehouse operations for production scheduling, maintenance, tool and die, quality, shipping and receiving;
Coordinate operational activities through planning with foremen to ensure daily objectives are accomplished in a safe, timely and cost effective manner;
Develop and control profits, plans, scheduling, and budget;
Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries;
Establish and monitor overall plant/warehouse performance for production and quality standards;
Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses;
Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make recommendations for adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary;
Provide leadership and training to accomplish company goals and objectives;
Provide direction, development and leadership to foreman and leads;
Responsible for hiring personnel, disciplinary actions, and terminations, when required;
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
At least 7 years of experience within a metal manufacturing operation;
At least 3 years of supervisory experience;
A high level of computer skills;
Ability to multi-task and juggle changing priorities;
Excellent interpersonal communication skills as well as problem-solving capabilities.
