Full Job Description:
We are seeking a Tax Supervisor/Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing Individual (Form 1040), Partnership (Form 1065), Corporate (Form 1120 and 1120S), Trust (Form 1041), and Non-Profit (Form 990) Income Tax Returns . The candidate will work with the owner and be responsible for timely filing of client related returns, direct client contact, relationship management as well as internal staff training, coaching and support, and eventually business development.
Required Skills and Education:
- Prepare and Review Individual (Form 1040), Partnership (Form 1065), Corporate (Form 1120 and 1120S) and Trust (Form 1041) Income Tax Returns
- Work with strict deadlines associated with tax season often requiring overtime to stay on track
- Set and monitor staff workload
- Conduct Federal and State tax research projects
- Advise clients on various SALT requirements including Pass-through entity tax reporting, sales tax, nexus and employment taxes
- Identify and implement tax planning opportunities for clients
- Provide training and supervision to team members
- Monitor current best practices for opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiencies
- Respond to federal and state tax notices received by client
- Work with owner to manage budgets, realization and billing
- Build rapport with clients to align with firm's objective of being their trusted advisor.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive CPA firm experience, CPA or JD preferred
- BS in Accounting, MST or MBA preferred
- Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence and tax research
- Excellent communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Knowledge of accounting and tax principles
- Experience with QuickBooks, Office 365, Office Tools
- Must be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced work environment
- Familiarity with Intuit ProSeries Tax preparation software is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
