Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
15 years of relevant work experience
5 years of people management experience as a manager of managers leading global teams
5 years of experience leading a global sales team, in a Telesales/Telemarketing environment

Preferred qualifications:
Strong, relevant experience in sales operations and/or a direct marketing/media environment; expertise in metrics-based management
Excellent strategic, analytical, and presentation skills. Experience with Sales Training techniques (e.g., SPIN, etc.)
Experience with customer satisfaction measurement and customer segmentation analysis
About the job

The GCS Vendor Strategy & Operations team is responsible for setting the vision and strategy and managing operations across six outsourced lines of business in GCS. As the Director of Global Vendor Strategy and Operations, you will oversee regional managers and a network of site leads, who in turn manage the day-to-day vendor operations across our global network of partners (vendor recruitment, training, quality, infrastructure, etc.).

You will be the primary stakeholder for the GCS President and the GCS Executive team, along with key cross-functional groups such as gTech, Marketing, Sales Finance, People Operations (Extended Workforce Solutions), and Product/Engineering, for all topics related to outsourced business. Although your role does not have direct business growth accountability, you will be responsible for ensuring that outsourced operations are structured/managed properly to enable and optimize business growth.

Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities will shape how new and existing businesses grow. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you will provide Google-caliber customer service, research, and market analysis. You will anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients, and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you will set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach users.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary stakeholder for senior GCS Sales and cross-functional executives whose teams work with outsourced business operations
Advise GCS business owners on overall vendor strategy, including: vendor readiness, location strategy, continuous vendor assessment to determine fitness for purpose, and business continuity planning
Oversee the relationship with C-Level vendor managers to ensure timely investment in Google's initiatives. Attend key global vendor performance reviews, and other periodic reviews as needed. Implement corrective action for significant performance problem areas
Manage global vendor budget and deliver against business goals. Ensure consistency of vendor operations across lines of business, including best practice sharing. Advise on necessary program changes where appropriate. Ensure vendors are fully compliant with all Google policies, procedures, and ethical standards as well as predefined quality assurance measures
