Henderson Community College serves approximately 1,500 credit, dual credit, adult education and workforce development students each semester in the Northwest Kentucky Region. Henderson is one of 16 colleges in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). The college and its faculty and staff are focused on student and community development and success. A Bachelor's degree, a current Kentucky Teacher Certification, and two years related work experience are required. A Master's degree in Education or related field preferred.
The selected individual should be knowledgeable about disability programs and policies to include vocational rehabilitation, special education, career and technical education, career pathways, and should have strong communication, organization, relationship building, leadership, and community consensus-building skills. Travel and ability to work flexible hours required.

Henderson Community College is seeking applicants for a full-time Pre-Employment Transition Specialist. This is a term-contract position. The successful candidate will work with Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) and local education agencies (LEA), to provide pre-employment transition services to students with disabilities ages 14-21 enrolled in Kentucky public schools. Qualifying students are eligible or potentially eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation services.
