PDR is responsible for 3rd party content acquisition, account, and portfolio management within North America, with a mission focus on advocacy, ambassadorship, and amplification of quality licensed content for Nintendo platforms.
Our Partner Management team is looking for a Sr Manager, Partner Management to help establish relationships with ongoing support to key external partners and stakeholders. The right individual will be a charismatic game industry leader with extensive experience focused around indie business. They will come with a wide network and knowledge of the indie community/scene, have a proven track record showing leadership, strategic acumen, and data-driven analytical skills to play critical role in directing the long-term future of Nintendo’s indie business.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Day-to-day correspondence and relationship management between North American-based independent developers and publishers.
Establish and grow strategic partnerships with Indie development community
Brings proposals for partnerships to secure strategic or new content
Prioritize key titles and potential partnership opportunities based on the strategies set by partner management leadership and/or the global teams
Contributes to strategic vision Provides leadership, strategic vision, and new ideas in support of Nintendo’s approach to servicing the Indie development community
Manages projects, relationships, and initiatives with diverse scopes ensuring critical information is communicated to all stakeholders and providing timely responses
Ability to create effective presentations and conduct professional presentations in front of internal and external stakeholders
Leverage relationships to gain company or industry insights within the indie communities
Work with the business analysts to produce forecasts, business insights, and other quantitative justifications and analysis in support of the business case and ROI targets
Day to day correspondence and support of developers and publishers
Ability to act as a spokesperson for Nintendo and the indie business in a professional manner in partner meetings, public events, networking events, as well as occasional interviews with media and other promotional efforts
Requires approximately 20% travel, domestic and international
A motivated self starter who seeks out opportunities and can function at a high level of competency with minimal supervision
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
Eight to ten years of related experience, including a minimum of eight to ten years as a manager.
Minimum of one to two years of experience in a leadership role.
Broad network of contacts within the Indie and traditional developer communities
Demonstrable P&L, ROI and risk assessment skills required.
Strong public speaking skills.
Mastery of MS Office suite of tools required
Experience working in a cross-collaborative environment between various discipline leads preferred.
Experience working ‘in the trenches’ in game production/design or at a game publisher preferred.
Experience working with external partners and/or licensors preferred
