This Product Manager position will be responsible for support of existing mobile radio products within the L3Harris Public Safety and Professional Communications group.
This is a diverse portfolio of hardware and software products, and the successful candidate will interface with supply partners, product development, marketing, and sales organizations to support and enhance the assigned mobile radio products with only moderate supervision.
This includes research and adjustment of market positioning, scheduling, forecasting, monitoring financial performance throughout the product lifecycle, and tracking customer feedback. Some domestic and international travel may be needed (<10%).
Interface with business planning and supply chain to ensure accurate forcasting and maintain adequate inventory levels for assigned products.
Coordinate regular forecast updates with other product managers.
Track New Product Requests against current product capabilities.
Monitor timing and development of new features and capabilities.
Assist in prioritizing feature development when investment is limited.
Assist planning and preparation of new product presentations.
Arrange for catalog, promotional literature, and Product Configurator changes as new features become available.
Be primary approver of the quoting of unreleased products.
Support the Checkpoint process for product decision making.
Develop practical knowledge of assigned products.
Serve as advisor both inside and outside the PLM team to explain product capability.
Work with Sales and Program Management on product proposals and configurations. Interface with Indirect Channel on products and capability.
Be patient and comfortable communicating with others about assigned products.
Support end-of-life process for sunset products, optimizing final customer fulfillment and ending inventory.
Report financial performance of assigned products as part of larger PLM messaging.
Use experience gained to improve future financial forecasting.
Interface with other Product Managers and their products that share customer use cases.
Adjust market positioning of assigned products so the combination is priced and featured as part of a larger package.
Collect voice-of-the-customer feedback, seeking innovations that solve user problems and make products compelling.
Socialize improvements inside the PLM organization as candidates for improvement.
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
3+ years of experience with radio products or equivalent technical experience
Experience with L3Harris Products and their configurations
Enjoys working with people, developing relationships and sharing knowledge
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-stakes environment
