The Measurement & Controls (M&C) Communications Programs Specialist will lead strategic internal and external digital communications programs for the business, including website management and internal editorial platforms. This role will be critical in ensuring the Communications function for M&C can strategically execute and support a new set of digital communications programs and act as project manager for future growth in digital communications and storytelling.
As a strategic leader, and working directly with the M&C Communications Leader, the successful candidate will develop and execute comprehensive digital communications programs for the business. This includes accountability for new internal and external website management platforms and ongoing promotions of new technologies, products and services – direct and through digital channels, executing customer experience strategies, segment - specific storytelling and positioning, commercial and sales win amplification, and managing multiple forms of content and branding within a highly technical flow business. This role will drive digital media for the business while establishing and executing an employee communication strategy and rhythm.
In the role of Communications Programs Specialist, you will:
Manage M&Cs externally - facing digital content and drive short and long - term strategy, including daily management a new web platform with page build and CMS management as well as leading agency relationships
Drive the internal communication storytelling for M&C and its five product companies and manage the “intranet” web portal for employee engagement
Develop a holistic plan for social media engagement, working closely with the M&C demand generation and marketing teams to capture leads and drive customer interaction
Develop, track and share the M&C editorial calendars for customer and technology - related announcements, working closely with the M&C Communications Leader to align on business - wide priorities, industry targets and campaign themes
Work closely with other communication colleagues, sales and marketing teams, project and product managers / leaders to implement fully - integrated new product introduction and go - to market communications plans
Partner closely with HR to develop an employee engagement program to create awareness, celebrate business wins and drive the BHGE culture, amplifying across M&C and the BHGE portfolio
Build, maintain and lead working relationships with sales and commercial, project and product managers and the broader communication community ensuring effective collaboration and global coordination of activities
Analyze and measure results of promotional initiatives and makes adjustments in strategy / execution as appropriate
Support the M&C Communications Leader with Boston Center site and executive communications
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing from an accredited college or university
Minimum 3 years of experience in Communications, Marketing, web / digital management
Travel 20% of the time locally & internationally, as required
Strong experience with communications tools and techniques and related developments such as social media, web CMS platforms and campaign marketing / advertising
A genuine understanding of communications engagement tactics including modern engagement trends and practices
Experience developing and executing internal communications programs, including community relations, leadership communications and cultural campaigns
Both a strategist and an able hands-on practitioner in the communications field
A reliable project manager, carrying out and directing the work of other people and suppliers to deliver projects on time and budget.
Copes well working on a number of different tasks, sometimes with conflicting deadlines and under pressure
Ability to effectively interact and influence in line with objectives at all levels of the organization from senior level executives to all other employment segments, and effectively manage in a matrix organization
Strong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills
Good attention to detail and accuracy
A confident, proactive self-starter who truly enjoys the hands-on aspects of marketing communications and has a proven track record of delivering results.
Approach effective communications plans with a creative and analytical mind
Proven ability to work with 3rd party agencies (PR, advertising, digital) to drive success
