Role / Title
Marketing is at the core of our world and at the heart of where we make our decisions. Marketers understand the consumer… really understand the consumer. They ask questions. Find answers. They take the extra step to work towards a vision for future success, while driving revenue and profit. As a Senior Associate Brand Manager, you will be at the center for some of the biggest decisions we make.
Sr. Associate Brand Managers are leaders in our business. You turn product ideas into iconic brands on the table. Your responsibilities will span across advertising, product development, packaging, and trade & consumer promotions, all the way to manufacturing. You’ll lead cross-functional teams of colleagues from sales, operations, research & development, and quality. You’ll build plans to deliver on annual and longer term financial goals…and, to bring the brand plan to life for consumers, you will collaborate with our retailer partners to drive category growth. This position is best suited for someone with a strong bias for action and excellent communication skills who is comfortable working both horizontally and vertically across an organization to keep multiple projects and priorities moving forward to achieve agreed upon deadlines.
Key Components of the Role
Re-launch the MiO brand in 2020 with significant investment in media for first time in past 5 years!
Create breakthrough communications that will build brand equity and drive long-term growth for the business
Lead agency team & manage relationships for across Communications, PR, and Design
Develop a deep understanding of the consumer and leverage consumer insights to drive brand strategy and innovation
Define pipeline of next generation products that will generate growth.
Collaborate with R&D, Consumer Insights, Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales and Finance to take innovation ideas from concepts to reality
Utilize business analytics (share, volume and revenue drivers, HHP, competition) to drive business objectives
5 years minimum experience in marketing for an established or startup CPG company or experience supporting on the agency side (advertising, consulting, media)
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
Operates with a sense of urgency
Strong leadership and drive for results
Strong communication skills
Strategic capability and experience in marketing plan development; situation assessment, strategy and tactical plan development
Experience in cross-functional team management
Ability to handle simultaneous projects and deliver in agreed upon timelines
Understanding of Financial P&L
