Responsibilities:
The Corporate Development and Acquisition Integration Director will be intimately involved in setting strategic direction for development and implementation of Contract's business plan with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to complement organic growth. This includes the discovery/development of opportunities as well as the development of a supporting business case (strategic rationale, legal/operational/financial analyses).

The position will lead the overall strategic direction and process in collaboration with the functional areas within the organization, as well as various outside parties. The position will review complex financial analysis to support strategic plans since business alternatives, growth strategies, and/or stand-alone projects must align with the Company's overall strategy. This position also is responsible for communicating operational strategies to executive levels throughout Office Depot.

This position will also lead efforts to incorporate acquired companies into Office Depot. This will include developing acquisition playbooks, leading cross functional integration teams, establishing integration plans and strategies, identifying and driving acquisition synergies, and working with key leaders of the organization to ensure each of our acquired companies are able to deliver the expected results.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equiv, Bachelors preferred
Minimum 10 years experience in related field; M&A preferred
Financial analysis or general accounting experience

Other Information:
Demonstrated experience leading the M&A process for opportunities that align with Company's business focus. The ideal candidate will have managed transactions that range in size and complexity; proven ability to drive from start to finish
The ability to structure and complete corporate development transactions (i.e., a proven track record of accomplishment in identifying and structuring transactions).
Demonstrated experience in building external relationships and leading acquisition from identification to closure
Leadership and management skills along with the ability to work both in a strategic mode, as well as "rolling up ones sleeves" and working in detail
A resourceful, strategic and analytical thinker and creative problem solver who can help shape the future strategy of the business
Must have demonstrated executive level experience collaborating with senior leaders
Demonstrate uncompromising integrity
