The North Carolina Practice of Perkins+Will is searching for a talented Marketing Coordinator with a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in the Architecture / Engineering / Construction industry and a degree in marketing, journalism, communications, graphics or design related field. The Marketing Coordinator will join our downtown Durham studio and will support both Charlotte and Durham offices. This position will align with and report to the Marketing Manager and will support the marketing team.

Our ideal candidate is a dynamic, self-motivated, and collaborative individual who possesses the ability to write, design, and produce engaging and beautifully designed marketing collateral. This person thinks creatively, and has strong organizational skills, research capabilities, and a genuine interest in architecture and design.

Job responsibilities include:
Lead substantive writing, design and production of proposals and qualifications packages from kickoff- through development, production, and lessons learned. Taking both a creative and process-oriented approach, you will coordinate our firm’s responses ensuring content is comprehensive, competitive, client-specific, and compliant with RFP requirements.
Manage proposals and qualifications submission process and timelines to increase client engagement and facilitate on-brand, efficient, accurate, and timely submissions.
Participate in multi-disciplinary teams empowered to improve our effort to succeed in quality and timeliness of the bid submissions.
Analyze bids to determine approach to proposal submission.
Research clients. Discover why they do what they do and consider how our firm is uniquely positioned to provide them with insight.
Bring a creative energy to the win strategy. Facilitate win strategy conversation(s) with proposal team.
Collaborate with principals, senior staff, consultants, and marketing manager to collect, edit, and organize proposal content. Push for quality content.
Under creative direction of marketing manager, develop engaging visual and written narratives upholding a high standard of graphic design and storytelling.
Assign and motivate work efforts of others in a deadline-oriented environment.
Coordinate print production and delivery.
Lead/ and or assist in interview development strategy. Facilitate interview prep with team. Develop InDesign/ PowerPoint/ Graphic presentation for interviews.
Have a high interest in data and metrics. Manage project and client data in firm wide databases and associated marketing collateral. Identify and track specific marketing metrics to increase efficiency, support processes, and identify storytelling opportunities.
Coordinate multiple marketing efforts against rapid deadlines.
Have a strong eye for design
Develop and maintain a variety of marketing collateral.
Champion the Perkins+Will brand at all times.
Use creative briefs and interview techniques to gather relevant and engaging content.
Graphic layout, copy editing, and proofing.
Tasks may also include ideation, development of internal communications, graphic design support for special initiatives, and event planning support.
Support other offices and/or national sector or discipline-specific initiatives, as required.

To join us as a Marketing Coordinator, you should have:
Excellent Organization/Time Management: Develop realistic production schedules, manage deadlines, keep others informed of work progress, timetables, and issues. Demonstrate consistent ability to successfully prioritize work and meet deadlines. Work well under strict deadlines and have the ability to balance diversity in workload and prioritization of assignments.
Graphic Design and Writing: Strong visual and storytelling ability. An eye for clean, professional publication layout. A high level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on InDesign, Microsoft Office and PowerPoint. Adobe After Effects skills a plus. Ability to follow writing style guide and produce copy for internal and external audiences.
Process and Data Oriented: Continuously identify new ways to improve quality and efficiencies.
Self-Guided: Demonstrate ability to work with minimal guidance and proactively take initiative to accomplish tasks.
Flexible, Change Agent: Can adjust to constantly changing deadlines and priorities. Has ability to be flexible when change occurs. Able to anticipate and bring about change when needed. Sees ahead clearly; can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately.
Proof-reading and Analytical Skills: Consistently produce complete and accurate spreadsheets and budgets. Proactively check work and easily identify and correct errors. Consistently provide thorough and detailed review and feedback.
Professional Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Liberal Arts, or related field is required.
Familiarity with the A/E/C industry.
Ability to interact professionally with office leadership and clients.
