Overview
As Social Media Manager, you will work directly with and report to the Director of Marketing. You will help manage five hotel Instagram accounts, ensuring the integrity of our brand while driving engagement. Familiarity with our brand voice, tone, and direction is essential, as you will undergo an onboarding process where we will work closely together. Additionally, you will assist in creating brand guidelines for our various brands.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow five hotel Instagram accounts, posting 6-7 times per week, including a mix of carousel posts, still images, and reels.
- Engage with the community through thoughtful interactions on comments, hashtags, and geotags to build a loyal online following.
- Curate and manage a list of potential influencers, initiate conversations, and establish partnerships.
- Create and save trending audio and video content for future posts and reels.
- Assist in organizing and implementing email marketing campaigns via Mailchimp, including promotional content, local activities, and hotel packages.
- Help curate and run community outreach initiatives to develop local partnerships and packages that enhance guest experiences.
- Organize and maintain digital assets, including photos and other content materials.
- Curate high-quality photos for the websites of each property to ensure a visually appealing online presence.
- Create social media content calendars for internal approval to facilitate scheduling.
- Schedule content natively in-app and provide regular updates via text, Slack, and email.
- Assist in creating brand guidelines for our brands, ensuring consistency in voice, tone, and visual identity across all platforms.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in social media management and email marketing.
- Proven ability to effectively engage and grow social media accounts while protecting brand integrity.
- Familiarity with Canva is a must; design experience and creativity are essential.
- Experience with tools like Later.com/blog and Sprout Social is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor.
- Must live in the U.S. (PST preferred, but CST and EST are acceptable).
- Ability to meet once a week for one hour.
- Bonus points for TikTok experience and knowledge of scheduling content natively in-app.
- Excitement to grow in a hospitality environment, with prior experience in luxury hotels preferred.
