Job Description:

Publicity Assistant will be responsible for assisting director of publicity and publicity managers in managing their relationships between Crowd Surf and publicity outlets. They will work hand in hand with the publicity team to help build relationships with Crowd Surf’s artists and clients and publicity outlets.

This person will oversee daily tasks and communication between the publicity team and our clients. They will assist with many detailed organizational tasks helping keep the publicity team on top of their game.

*+ Communicate with Director of Publicity and Publicity Managers daily to help keep their schedules, communication and follow ups on track.
+ Create pertinent documents, presentations and reports to help outline our internal actions for clients.
+ Oversee support from client side of all publicized content.
+ Assist publicity team in client follow-through in respect to client getting any content, interview questions, prizes etc fulfilled and submitted.
+ Supply clients with comprehensive recaps on a regular basis.

+Write and/or edit press releases, media alerts and pitches.

+ Assist publicity dept in booking travel, keeping calendars, creating day sheets and talking points for publicity runs with our artists and lifestyle clients.
+ Assist publicity dept in daily dept maintenance and tasks including but not limited to supplies, lunch, post office runs, appointment scheduling etc.
+ Any other various tasks that help our publicity team excel and thrive.

+ 1-2 yrs experience in the music industry field in a marketing or publicity position.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Must be very attentive to detail.

+ Ability to use Apple products.

+ Understand that this isn’t a 9-5 job. Sometimes you have to work for a couple hours on the weekend, attend a show, or answer an email before you go to bed.

+ Have initiative. We want somebody who is going to take this job, and then take it to the next level. We don’t expect you to be in this position forever.

+ You need to be a FAN! If you haven’t been to a concert in the past couple of months, this probably isn’t the job for you.

+ Know of media outlets and have favorite music blogs.
+ Love social networks.
