Outdoor Education Teacher (Marine Science/Engineering/Ropes Course)

Camp Bournedale - Environmental Education - Plymouth, MA

Part-time

Camp Bournedale Environmental Education seeking teachers, naturalists and instructors for educational programming for middle school aged students.

We are looking for teachers for our Marine Science classes during our educational program. Candidates would be responsible for leading groups of middle school aged students on educational beach walks, dissections and other similar classes in a camp setting.

We are looking for teachers for classes including various programs on team building, physics, astronomy & geocaching(navigation).

Weekly salaried positions are available.

Our goal is to take students from a walled classroom and give them a chance to experience hands on learning in the field. In addition to our academics we try to promote independence and personal growth while students stay at camp with their classmates.

Our instructors do NOTstay in cabins overnight with campers. Teaching and/or camp experience is a plus. The job is seasonal, running from April to the mid-June. The educational program resumes in the spring. Pay to be determined by experience and credentials.

This is a great job for retired school teachers, young teachers looking for experience, or camp veterans who are looking to broaden horizons.
