Our Industrial Practice, in theAtlanta GA office is seeking a creative, innovative Project Manager/Team Leader. We’re looking for candidates with a strong talent to lead the development of projects and coordinate project criteria, consultants, and code requirements. Our Project Manager position will include work on a broad range of industrial projects. It will also require someone who can work collaboratively with a team in projects from concept to completion, with true passion, creativity, and acute attention-to-detail. This role will provide tremendous opportunities and involvement throughout the design and implementation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate project plans, fee proposals and project schedules in response to RFP’s and other opportunities
  • Develop and execute contracts between NELSON and its outside consultants and clients for services
  • Create/monitor project schedules and budgets as determined by the client
  • Oversee and participate in the design and project delivery process. Coordinate with cross discipline team members to ensure that everyone is on track with project requirements, deadlines and budgets
  • Ensure that design reviews occur at the designated stages of projects
  • Facilitate and issue additional service requests
  • Responsible for leading and coordinating efforts of work done by design team
  • Site adapt tenant and ownership standards, site planning
  • Build Client relationships, trust and loyalty
  • Submit project deliverables to the City and follow up until permit is issued
  • Enhance the work and careers of NELSON teammates through continuous training, support and mentoring
  • Responsible for communication with external stakeholders


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • Minimum of 8 years’ project management experience required
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of architectural design, building codes construction and costs
  • Proven ability to identify and solve problems and resolve conflicts
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and effectively balance work load
  • AutoCAD skills required. Revit skills highly desired
