Job Summary

The Senior Account Director partners with creative and strategy teams to provide brand consultation, perspective, and recommendations to clients. The Senior Account Director is responsible for managing and developing meaningful client relationships, fiscal management for assigned business, training, mentoring and motivating team members, and seeks out opportunities with new business while growing existing accounts.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Project Management

Manages brand and project teams to deliver highest standards of excellence in service, strategic consultation, creativity and professionalism.
Serves as the direct contact liaison between the client and creative, strategic and production teams.
Receives and provides all client direction, questions, and relevant information to teams.
Drives and influences the project process from initial briefing through implementation.
Develops comprehensive and inspirational creative briefs with appropriate timelines.
Inspires CBX creative teams to maximize the effectiveness and appropriateness of creative work.
Ensures alignment with creative brief, account strategy, and understanding of client issues.
Determine "readiness" of work for client presentations with the senior creative and strategy teams.
Ensures smooth transition of the creative/strategic process to the production process. Organizes content, flow and materials with Design Director to create a compelling, thought-provoking presentation and representation of CBX.

Client Consultation

Provides client with distinct point-of-view on marketing, creative strategies, target audience, competitive set, trends, and opportunities for building brand awareness, competitive point of difference, and relevance with target audience.
Develops category analyses and market audits to provide a clear perspective to support creative direction.
Recommends process/techniques for creative development, research, equity analysis, brand segmentation, asset management and other branding processes as appropriate.

Relationship Building/Maintaining

Prospers senior client relationships that encourage honest candid discussion, mutual respect and trust.
Provides "added value" through the strength of the relationship and personal association.

Financial

Develops proposals, budgets, and reconciliations for all project activity on assigned accounts.
Reviews financial performance against approved fee and expense budget.
Manages project deliverables and requests addendums for out of scope work.
Submits invoice requests, review/approves invoices, and tracks receivables.
Manages individual financial targets, as specified by the VP Client Services/General Manager/Managing Partners.
Team Management

Provides guidance to Account Directors, Account Managers and/or Account Coordinators on branding disciplines, client service methods, protocol, tactics, industry terminology, and process.
Serves as a mentor to Account Directors, Account Managers and/or Account Coordinators providing reviews, short-term and long-term goals.
Motivates team by providing a stimulating work experience, opportunities for growth and advancement.
Influences Company culture and drives values and principals.

Biz Dev Development

Heads up finding new business opportunity with existing/lapse clients.
Pitch/Present new business opportunities with the Biz Dev Group.
Develops case studies, biz dev decks, proposals and answers RFIs.

CBX Health

Supports, maintains and contributes to CBX protocols and processes.
Maintains CBX culture throughout group and company.
Ensures CBX "brand" consistency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
8+ years of related experience
Strong background in client relationship building and team leadership
Ability to present effectively to clients and internal teams
Ability to manage, drive and develop multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
Capability to engage in departmental responsibilities that facilitate growth and efficiencies within CBX.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
