The City of Ozark, Missouri is accepting applications for a Full Time Recreation Assistant with the Parks & Recreation Department. Salary starting, depending on experience is $13-15 per hour, plus employee benefit package. Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Parks & Recreation, youth development or related field, plus professional experience in a related field is preferred. Must possess a valid Driver's License. On call, after-hours and weekend duty within a 40-hour week is required.

This position is assistants the Recreation Supervisor for planning, coordinating and directing a comprehensive youth programs to the community across multiple locations in a variety of settings. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of recreation program planning, staff supervision, and professional service delivery. The candidate will lead by example, demonstrate a commitment to excellence, possess sound analytical decision-making skills, utilize outstanding communication and time-management skills and be a valuable partner for internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience working with recreation software applications; ability to interpret and administer the policies of an organization; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, City officials, and citizens; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Works independently at a skilled level under the general supervision of the Recreation Supervisor
