Entry Level Bookkeeper (Miami, FL)
Aviation company in Miami is seeking an entry level bookkeeper to join our fast-paced team immediately.
The main focus of the position is to support the accounting department with their day-to-day functions such as payable’s, accounting administrative and other entry-level accounting duties as assigned. The primary work focus is on accounts receivable and accounts payable as well as ensuring all vendors are paid on time and payments made without discrepancies. In addition, the bookkeeper will help with collections, billing, audits, and journal entries. This position requires you to be organized, proficient, reliable, detail oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Job Responsibilities:
Support duties related to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Assist with preparation of financial and statistical statements and reports
Analyze financial information in order to identify discrepancies
Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely fashion
Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
Maintain the chart of accounts
Balance Vendor Statements
Data Entry
Assist with RMA's
Process C.O.D payments
Job Qualifications:
At minimum, an Associate's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or similar field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted.
3-5 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience
Proficient to advanced knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel
Must be fluent in English
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently on assigned duties
Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines
Excellent organizational, planning, and follow-through capabilities
Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and vendors
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
