TITLE: Product Manager Coordinator – Guitar Brands
DEPARTMENT: Product Development
REPORTS TO: Director, Guitar Brands Management
The PM Coordinator reports to the Brand Manager of Guitar Brands team as a support role for Guitar brands. This role would be responsible for tasks such as creating brand copy, uploading necessary copy & product information into the KUSA systems, act as the central point for assets, proof product manuals and copy sent from our partners, lead tradeshow ancillary needs and be the primary point of contact in the NY office for Brand Management. This person would also assist with fielding questions from the sales team with product specs and availability. Responsibilities will also include maintaining and updating information on our brand's website to ensure all content is accurate and up to date.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The product management team is responsible for a multitude of areas including:
Communicate launch plans, and new product builds and all relevant product information to the company as directed by the Brand Management team
Create compelling copy for both print and digital, i.e., materials, brochures, presentations, and emails that support brand awareness
Provide general editorial direction and support
Create clear and engaging copy that adheres to brand standards and is tailored to the audience of that brand
Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how the products are positioned in the market
Assist and lead trade show preparations such as ancillary needs, product orders & the collection of necessary materials as directed by the Brand Management team
Organize and attend product video shoots
Collaborate with brand management and marketing to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with the target consumer
Dealer’s Site upkeep includes uploading copy, specs, photos accessories, etc.
One Sheet creation – copy, images, pricing
Communication with Sales regarding ETAs, product notifications etc.
Copywriting, editing & proofreading for all press releases, product manuals, marketing copy, price lists, and presentations.
Price Lists creation and maintenance of system generated and Visual price lists
Competitive product research comparison charts, general product info, market insight, report on trends, etc.
TradeShow preparation – gathering non-inventory items, building orders, skids, etc.
Management of non-inventory items and product samples in the office
General help around the office – packing, shipping, moving gear, etc.
Be the point of contact for a team of product specialist and assist them as necessary with travel, gear &interfacing with the KUSA office
REQUIREMENTS/EXPECTATIONS OF ROLE:
Associate’s Degree in Music Business, Business, Marketing or commensurate experience
Microsoft Office suite
Knowledgeable in all areas of guitar related products
Must play guitar and bass
Works well in a team environment
Ability to multitask and take on several projects at once
