SUMMER SCHOOL SCHEDULE
BSSD elementary, middle, and high school level summer programs operate within a 19-day consecutive weekday schedule starting on Monday, June 3 and ending Thursday, June 27, 2019. Summer school dates are subject to change based on the weather make-up dates which might be added at the end of the semester. Summer school is contingent upon state funding. Changes will be communicated to staff in a timely manner if and when they occur.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Elem School: 8:30-3:30 p.m.
LTEC Prog: 8:10-11:30 a.m. (Multi-disabled)/8:55-12:15 p.m. (Early Childhood)
Mid School: 8:00-3:00 p.m. (Session I- 8:00-11:15 a.m.; Session II- 11:45-3:00 p.m.)
High School: 7:30-2:30 p.m. (Session I- 7:30-10:45 a.m.; Session II - 11:15-2:30 p.m.)

Mid School: Paul Kinder Middle School
High School: Freshman Center
High School ESY: Freshman Center

GRADE LEVEL OFFERINGS
Elementary schools will host Pre-Kindergarten (PK), Kindergarten through Fourth Grade (K-4), and K-4 Extended School Year (ESY) specialized instruction programs as follows:
Daniel Young (PK, K-4), Franklin Smith (PK, K-4, K-4 SEB, ELS, CLASS), James Lewis (PK, K-4, K-4 VI,), James Walker, (PK, K-4), Thomas Ultican (PK, K-4), Voy Spears Jr., (PK, K-4, D/HH), William Yates (PK, K-4, K-4 ELS, CLASS). All ESY eligible students will be enrolled separately through their regular school year attending site (i.e., an enrollment form is not required of parents of ESY eligible students). ELL will be offered at WYE (staff availability and student enrollment permitting).
Grades 5-8 and 5-8 ESY will be at Paul Kinder Middle School, Grade 9 and 8th Enrichment at the Freshman Center, Grades 10-12 at the Freshman Center, and Grades 8-12 ESY at the Freshman Center.
EXPECTATIONS/CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Must be available to work the entire summer school term;
Will be assigned according to qualification, experience, and district/program need (subject to change); and
Placement at an applicant’s regular school year location is not guaranteed.
RATE OF PAY
The rate of pay for a secretary daily rate is $128.10. The daily rate of pay for a health aide is $92.30. Summer school pay for district employees will be issued through direct deposit on July 15 for 4-week program staff members.
APPLICATION CLOSING DATE
The Human Resources Department application window closes at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2019, but priority staffing will be given to staff who complete the application process by April 1, 2019.
The targeted time frame for making initial staffing decisions is Friday, April 19, 2019.
