The Financial Sponsors Business Development function, led by Chris Lalli, sits within the Financial Sponsors Group of Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Finance division. The team partners with the group’s senior calling officers to cover over 125 alternative asset managers including private funds, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and family offices. Responsibilities for you include the development, tracking and presentation of market intelligence regarding both investment opportunities and portfolio assets, providing team members with the information required to best cover our clients. Additionally, he/she will be required to partner with colleagues in both industry and product groups to develop content for financial sponsor clients including acquisition ideas, industry & company research, and similar information. We are looking for a hard working analyst or associate with a positive attitude who has a strong interest in private and capital markets.
Develop & maintain comprehensive databases of client investment opportunities and portfolio assets
Prepare presentation materials for distribution to multiple teams within Deutsche Bank, as well as clients
Engage with colleagues across industry and product groups, including LDCM, M&A and ECM, to coordinate coverage of key opportunities
Support day-to-day operations of the team
You will have:
Strong technical and academic background
Strong understanding of PE/M&A markets and sponsor coverage model
Working knowledge of the assorted market data services including Capital IQ, FactSet, Pitchbook & Bloomberg
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
You will be:
An excellent communicator with strong oral and written communication skills
A proven self-starter with an ability to understand how to identify, capture, analyze, organize and convey relevant information
Committed and motivated for self-development and growth
Able to multi-task while working on both fast paced and long-term deliverables
