Medical Advantage Group (MAG) is currently seeking a Consultant to join our In-Practice Technology Services team!

The Consultant is responsible for developing, implementing, maintenance, consulting and support duties within the In-Practice Technology Services team. This position will be responsible for working across our multiple teams including, practice transformation, analytics and data warehouse teams.

Job Functions:
Completes a full optimization of EHR “go live”
Trouble-shoots, develops, designs and customizes EHRs where needed to meet the needs of each staff position and to develop and prepare workflow suggestions
‪Evaluates and assess’ the skillset, functionality and level of mastery of all staff and users continuing to train and test until an acceptable standard of usability and functionality has been achieved by all users
Understands the EHR Practice Management system functionality
Performs onsite and remote training of the EHR platform
Utilizes reporting software and develops dashboards for data management
Customizes the system and manages data as well as assists in building reports on an as needed basis by departments.
Makes suggestions, recommendations and to provide support on all aspects of EHR utilization
‪Communicates, escalates and assists the client or vendor to promptly and effectively resolve issues
Documents and prepares various training checklists prior to, and after completion of, training
Makes suggestions, recommendations and provides support on all aspects of EHR utilization
‪Creates user guides and revises existing user guides to assist staff members in proper documentation and utilization of system.
Provides ongoing follow-up support to clients through Helpdesk
Provides sales support as needed
Updates internal records/timesheets
Works with vendors, physicians and their staff to educate them on the proper documentation of clinical data points to ensure accurate submission to payers (BCBSM, HAP, etc.).
Advise ACO/PO/PHO on their technology strategy
Support multiple repositories working with clients and vendors
Conducts workflow and gap analysis’
Consumes an in-depth understanding of pay-for-performance programs
Organizes and performs a complete system clean-up and clean-out to optimize all features of the EHR platform
Consults on various pay-for-performance initiatives
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
5+ years of electronic health record experience
Understanding of medical practice operations
Excellent communication and written skills
Ability to speak and demonstrate the product in small to medium size groups
Experience with developing training materials and build curriculum for training sessions
General to proficient knowledge of pay-for-performance programs
Familiarity with clinical documentation
Ability to conduct engaging and effective training sessions to a diverse audience at various skill levels
‪Strong customer service and organizational skills
‪Ability to be flexible and adapt in a fast paced environment
Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
