Position Title: Restaurant Assistant General Manager (AGM)

Overview:
The Restaurant Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing all restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, customer service, and staff performance. The AGM assists in financial management, staff training, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Support:
- Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations.
- Ensure smooth operation during shifts, handling any issues that arise.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
- Financial Management:
- Help manage budgets, including labor costs, food costs, and other expenses.
- Assist in analyzing financial reports and identifying areas for improvement.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures.
- Staff Management:
- Support recruitment, training, and supervision of staff.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Provide performance feedback and coaching to team members.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing and resolving customer complaints.
- Monitor customer feedback and make recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in fostering a positive dining experience for all guests.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of all local, state, and federal laws related to restaurant operations.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Marketing and Sales Support:
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies.
- Promote special events, menu items, and other initiatives to drive sales.
- Monitor competition and suggest strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in restaurant management, with at least 1 year in an assistant manager role.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Certifications: Food Safety Manager Certification preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
