Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk.
The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Home Lending Default Serviced for Others Credit Policy, is seeking a driven, experienced professional to be responsible for the analysis, evaluation, development and risk management of credit policy related to Agency and GSE investors and insurers. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast paced, highly visible environment.

Responsibilities include:
Develop, monitor and recommend innovative servicing policies, products, and programs based on both experience and statistical analysis of available data that meet investor requirements as well as Wells Fargo risk tolerances. Document reasoning for policies including any deviations from investor or insurer guidance
Identify appropriate analysis to support or negate change recommendations
Assist in the development and rollout of new products and policy by working with various groups within the company such as Servicing PMO, ORM, BSI, Legal, ERMG, Corporate Consumer Credit, Decisioning Technologies and Operations Management, identifying risks and opportunities
Identify risks and opportunities based on input from Credit Risk Management, Servicing Management, Automated Decisioning, investors, sales, operations, competitors, and other sources
Apply advanced knowledge to serve as an advisor and resource to corporate and/or LOB management regarding credit performance, potential or emerging risks, and business conformity with risk appetite, credit culture, and policies
Inform senior management of trends and variances and recommend appropriate change and/or action
Manage relationships and provide support for business partners as appropriate within Home Preservation and Liquidations, Corporate Consumer Credit, Capital Markets, Servicing PMO-Change control
Actively participate with fast moving projects by providing policy guidelines and input on system development changes, reviewing for risks and opportunities
Actively participate in audits and reviews by providing policy SME expertise and materials as requested
Act as a technical expert for senior management

Required Qualifications

4+ years of risk experience

Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

Other Desired Qualifications

A BS/BA degree or higher; or equivalent experience
Home lending collateral valuation and review experience
Default Servicing experience such as underwriting experience, home preservation, liquidation, or other applicable areas
In-depth knowledge of Wells Fargo servicing and origination credit policies, and secondary market requirements
In depth knowledge of servicing process and policies including FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and USDA
In depth knowledge of servicing collateral policies
Ability to create proposals and presentations recommending enhancements to servicing credit policy and process
Proficiency in servicing systems and applicable tools
Knowledge of automated decisioning tools

Job Expectations

Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
