COVID-19 Response Manager(Job Number: 200001TB)

The Office of Student Health and Wellness (OSHW) aims to eliminate health-related barriers to learning and promote health equity. OSHW is leading contact tracing efforts for CPS in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. CPS COVID-19 Response is a new stream of work that will support a safe reopening of schools in the age of COVID-19. This role is designed to supervise and support contact tracers will be trained in the basics of the virus, epidemiology, case investigation, and contact tracing.
CPS COVID-19 Response Manager is expected to successfully oversee and/or perform the following core responsibilities:
Manages a team of 11 people to support district-level contact tracing
Supports Chief Health Officer in policy and district level response to COVID-19
Direct and oversee all daily activities of 11 CPS Contact Tracers.
Lead a new workstream around COVID-19 response.
Track and monitor cases for support and resolution.
Support district wide policies and procedures around COVID-19 response.
Develop strategies and tools for district implementation.
Develop collaborative relationships with community organizations and partners to improve access to care for students and staff.
Assist with related duties, special projects, and extra duties as assigned.
In order to be successful and achieve the above responsibilities, CPS COVID-19 Response Manager must possess the following qualifications:
Good customer service
Good communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized and able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
The ability to work flexibly in a changing environment
An understanding of cultural competencies when working with diverse communities
Excellent computer skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and complete HIPAA training requirements
Willingness to be on-call on evenings and weekends when needed.
Type of Education Required:
Bachelor’s required. Master’s preferred. Candidates with a background in health administration, nursing, public health are encouraged to apply.
Type of Experience and Number of Years:
Minimally 3 years of supervision experience.
A clinical background in public health, infectious diseases preferred.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from parents and school staff in personal interactions and group settings.
Experience working consultatively and collaboratively with a team of professionals.
Experience managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all stakeholders.
Demonstrate computer proficiency, including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
Ability to use a range of technology and tools, including but not limited to InContact, Service Now, Oracle, ASPEN, Microsoft Office, and Google.
Ability to work independently as well as to function effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively multi-task.
