DSA's Critical Infrastructure Protection group is a growing practice within Data Systems Analysts (DSA). We are seeking an experienced Operational Technology (OT) Integration specialist to help our Federal and Commercial customers enhance their operations through a digital transformation. Our ideal candidate will leverage their engineering experience for problem solving, as well as leverage creative analysis to identify, develop, and deliver new benefits for our customers. The Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) practice is focused on data aggregation, energy management, advanced analytics, and cybersecurity. Our group supports various industries including universities, government agencies, utilities, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing facilities. As a system integration team, we are tasked with delivering value to the overall mission of our customer's organization. The majority of your time will be customer facing and project focused. As part of our project responsibilities you will be expected to understand Building Automation Systems (Client) in order to support their integration into the AVEVA PI historian platform. The CIP team at DSA is prepared to develop your skills with the PI system, so experience with it is not a direct requirement, but a plus. Initially, the role will involve supporting projects which involve helping customers convert from the legacy AVEVA eDNA historian system to AVEVA PI, so general computer skills are a must as you learn the systems and techniques DSA has developed to automate that process. In addition, you will work with the CIP team to assist them in developing more efficient methods to integrate Client's into PI. You will work remotely. Travel will be required but it is not expected to be frequent nor extended in duration. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support and maintenance for PI System environments
- Support new system integrations (Client, SCADA, etc.,) to the PI System
- Understand common ICS communication protocols (e.g. Modbus, BACnet)
- Translate customer requirements into project deliverables
- Test, support, and troubleshoot project deliverables
- Resolve complex technical issues that require significant freedom of action and sound judgment
- Support internal solution development to enhance service and product offerings
- Multi-task effectively and act with minimum supervision
Candidates will be measured by their focus on customer success, ability to provide hands-on support and their ability to be part of a high performing team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience programming building automation systems (JCI Metasys, ALC WebCTRL preferred)
- Experience integrating new sensors and instruments into an existing control network
- Technical knowledge of networks, firewalls, OT-IT network segmentation, and related hardware and software
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Strong overall computer skills, with programming experience a plus
- Ability to complete AVEVA PI System Installation Accreditation
