JOB SUMMARY:
Assist in administrative, operational and scoring duties associated with specified Junior Golf Competitions, Member Championships and spectator Championships under the direction of management.
Specific duties as described below to be performed for the following, but not limited to: National Minority Collegiate Golf Championships, PGA Junior Championships, PGA Junior League and Junior Ryder Cup.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform administrative functions and computer scoring operations support for Junior Competitions/Amateur Championships and assist with PGA Member Championships, Spectator Championships assigned. Become proficient in using golf-specific software to generate groupings, scorecards, leader boards, scoring and reporting for various Championships.

Coordinate and assist with design and distribution of collateral material, player entry and registration information for related championships/events, and the dissemination of this information to various groups (i.e. staff, players, Officials, etc.).

Maintain/develop website communication promoting on-line applications and posting of detailed contestant information including: field lists, starting times, player portfolios, hotels, travel directions, results, photo gallery and press releases.

Prepare and oversee volunteer operations to include working with host site and volunteer chair on recruiting, training and scheduling..

Assist with all Championship event shipping.

Coordinate and assist with organizing set-up of temporary on-site championship offices.

Assist in coordinating on-site administrative functions, computer scoring operations and communications during Championship week.

Assist management with special projects, research, meeting agendas and meeting preparations as requested.

MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
No managerial or supervisory responsibilities.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
No budgetary responsibility. Required to work within purchasing and budgetary guidelines if applicable.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Two years related experience and/or training in administrative function and/or office management. Prior tournament experience a plus. Experience in web site design, HTML preferred.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Job Knowledge/Technology: Must have knowledge of business operations with an emphasis in administrative support and/or operations. Knowledge of the golf industry and golf administration preferred. Working knowledge of computer design software (Adobe Creative Suite) and MS office with an emphasis in Word, Excel and database tools.

Ability to travel required, including overnight travel for up to two weeks at a time.. Ability to transport moderately heavy tournament equipment and supplies. Ability to stand for extended periods of time during events.
