Gensler's Dallas office is seeking an experienced individual to lead and expand our Civic, Arts and Culture Sector. Your Role
In order to partner with our clients and project teams to deliver best-in-class strategy and design, Practice Area Leaders must have deep knowledge and expertise in project delivery and thought leadership . Working in collaboration with the Dallas Office leadership and Global/Regional Leaders, you will seek to grow and leverage the capabilities of the Dallas and regional teams to lead Civic, Arts, and Culture projects, and build this practice in the South Central Region.
What You Will Do
Be in the market, actively engaged with current and potential clients and industry partners
Develop a regional practice area strategy with a focus on growth
Be active in thought leadership, writing, speaking, and leading or participating in research
Manage client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
Build relationships and collaborate with our colleagues across the region to advance client interests and practice area objectives
Prepare project proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, participate in interviews and introductory meetings
Mentor, support, and direct staff to help them achieve not only client goals but personal development goals
Your Qualifications
Advanced Degree in Architecture from an accredited program, or similar applicable degree
15+ years of relevant professional experience
Experience in Civic, Arts, and Culture projects (i.e. museums, theaters, and community based centers)
Capable of generating Civic, Arts, and Culture Practice Area work
Experience negotiating project scope and fees
Experience with managing a diverse architectural or engineering firm, regional office, and/or practice group
Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills
Understanding of Autodesk Revit and related BIM software as a delivery platform
