High visibility opportunity providing strategic HR business partner support to the VP Operations at a growing and profitable manufacturing company with a collaborative, high performance culture. Slated as the successor to the VP HR, this independent role will work closely with the Plant Manager and leverage HR resources to develop and execute organizational strategies that align structure, culture and talent with business goals at the flagship manufacturing plant with over 100 union employees. The ideal candidate is a dynamic HR leader with at least 8 years of broad generalist experience that includes strengths in recruiting/talent management and employee/labor relations. Prior experience in a Lean manufacturing environment is desired, and union contract experience a plus. The right person is a highly motivated self-starter and collaborative team player with the courage to challenge the status quo and the professional poise to deliver tough messages to make a positive impact. He or she will be strategic and forward thinking, yet capable of managing critical details with excellent organization and follow up to deliver measurable results. BS/BA in Business, HR, or a related discipline is required; MS HR, MBA, and/or SHRM Professional Certification a plus.
