The Tax Accounting Manager position provides an opportunity to be involved with income tax provisions, earnings and cash flow forecasts, tax accounting research, various business initiatives and process improvements. The successful candidate must have a strong desire to continue to strengthen their skills in accounting for income taxes and work with various areas of Finance including the Global Controllership, Budgeting and Business Planning , Corporate Accounting & Consolidations, External Reporting, Treasury and the Corporate Mergers & Acquisition teams.
Manage the annual, quarterly and monthly worldwide tax provision process including the effective tax rate, deferred tax calculations, taxes payable, uncertain tax positions, tax account substantiations, journal entries, and other supporting schedules
Confirm that U.S. current and deferred tax account balances are accurately stated and properly classified through quarterly and annual reconciliations to underlying asset and liability accounts and/or discrete tax bases
Ensure that foreign affiliate current and deferred tax account balances are accurately stated and properly classified through quarterly and annual review and validation of their tax submissions
Ability to assist the foreign affiliates with the application of U.S. GAAP as it relates to accounting for income taxes
Review acquisition and divestures activity, special projects and other significant initiatives to provide tax accounting guidance and to ensure the proper tax accounting treatment is applied, documented and reported
Ensure full compliance with U.S. GAAP tax disclosure requirements by timely and accurately preparing the tax data required to support the tax footnote included in SEC Form 10-K annual report and Form 10-Q quarterly reports
Support SOX provision compliance and documentation
Maintain monthly fo r e c a s ts o f the worldwide e f f e c t iv e t ax r a te an d cash tax p r o j e c t i o n s
Assist with preparation of the global annual tax profit and loss and cash tax budget
Lead and manage the income tax accounting team to meet required deadlines, train and develop staff members, proactively identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline tax accounting processes

Good working knowledge of the US corporate income tax code as well as basic familiarity with the principles of state income taxation and a working knowledge of tax law in key international jurisdictions
