Advanced Sleep Medicine Services, Inc.’s mission is to empower sufferers of sleep disorders, like sleep apnea, to lead more fulfilling lives by improving their sleep. With over 20 locations across California, Advanced Sleep Medicine Services, Inc. is a leading provider of in-center and in-home (HST) sleep studies, PAP therapeutic devices and replacement PAP supplies. We are contracted with major commercial health plans, government insurances and many medical groups. We partner with independent physicians who are at the forefront of the field of sleep medicine, and together we provide a high-quality, affordable, result-oriented diagnostic and therapeutic sleep medicine services.

The Intake department is responsible for processing all diagnostic sleep study referrals and authorizations. Intake is the first step in the sleep scheduling process. The Intake Clerk works diligently with the Intake team to create new patient accounts and/or to update existing accounts for all referrals received. Rapid and accurate data intake facilitates faster sleep study scheduling. We are looking for a hard working, agile professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast pace environment.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a medical office (front or back office) health information/medical record department or related experience in a medical office setting, managed care facility or hospital setting.
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills: excel, outlook, ability to learn new software/database
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology. Understanding of insurances (HMO, PPO, Medicare, etc.)
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Maintains regular attendance and punctuality

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $14.00 /hour
