Position Description

Einstein Medical Center Montgomery is a medical destination providing many new healthcare services and resources previously unavailable in the area including advanced medical and surgical care, diagnostic testing services, a neonatal intensive care unit, and 24 hour emergency care. In this role you will be responsible for:
Transports patients to and from patient care and diagnostic areas under the directions of the patient's care giver and ensures the patient's comfort and safety during transport
This position requires a schedule that will rotate weekends and holidays

If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:
High school diploma or equivalent required
1 - 2 year patient transport experience preferred
Previous clinical experience preferred
Basic reading and math skills required
Experience with relevant software applications required
A criminal background investigation as required by PA State Law Act 169
Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association required, or renewal must be obtained within 60 days of employment

Physical Demands:
Physical Requirements: Able to walk long distances, sit and stand for longer periods. Frequently lift, move, push and pull various weights (patients and equipment)
Visual Requirements: Visual dexterity in working with charts, equipment, and computers
Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear with a stethoscope, and hear normal conversations and telephone communications
Working Conditions: Normal hospital clinical settings with high noise and activity; possible exposure to hazardous chemicals, bio-hazardous blood and body fluids, unpleasant odors, and sharps
